Hasnain shines as Pakistan beat England

Karachi: Pakistan disabled cricket team captain Hasnain Alam and wicket-keeper batsman Danish Ahmed both scored half centuries and helped Pakistan record 33-run triumph against England in the first match of the three-match International Physical Disability Series played at Dubai’s ICC Cricket Academy Oval Ground on Monday.

Hasnain Alam, who lost his left foot in a mine blast, cracked 95runs off 98 balls with the help of 10 boundaries and a six while Danish scored 50 runs off 39 balls with the help of nine boundaries to help Pakistan post 233-9 in allotted 40 overs. Callum Flynn and Jimmy Williams captured two wickets each for England.

England in their turn scored 200-9 using the allotted quota of 40 overs. 16-year-old Callum Flynn batted well for the side and scored 69 runs. Abdullah Afridi and Ameer Ahmad took two wickets each for Pakistan.
