Health dept asked to depute doctors for checking prisoners’ health

LARKANA: On the Supreme Court’s order, the Home Department has requested the Health Department to depute one Orthopedic Surgeon (BS-18/BS-19), and one Dermatologist (BS-18/BS-19) to visit different jails in Larkana district along with one Gynecologist, and one Pediatrician of (BS-18/BS-19) for visiting Special Prison for Women in Larkana twice a week to check prisoners and provide necessary medical treatment to them and their children living with them in jail.

It has further been directed to submit names of the doctors so that their names could be uploaded on the website. The Health Department wrote to the Principal & Medical Superintendent, Chandka Medical College & CMC Hospital, Larkana, respectively for compliance of the apex court orders as consultants are working under his administrative control.
