Karachi: The Health Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi, has ordered an enquiry on the complaint against Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Siyal, Senior Medical Officer of Basic Scale-19, presently awaiting posting, sources told PPI on Wednesday.

For this purpose an Enquiry Committee has been constituted comprising three senior doctors, Dr. Safiullah Abbasi, Medical Superintendent, Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, as Chairman, Dr. Munir Ahmed Jokhio and Dr. Khalilullah Shaikh, posted as District Health Officers at Shikarpur and Larkana respectively as members. All these doctors are working in BS-20.

The Health Department Order No: SOI (H)Z-10/84 dated: 18th August, 2014 issued by the Health Department Section Officer-I (H), Shah Nawaz, wrongly mentions that both the members are working as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Medical Officer in CMCH respectively but fact of the matter is that both of them have recently been transferred and posted as elucidated above on their recent promotion from BS-19 to 20.

The Enquiry Committee has been directed to submit its report within seven days for which letter has been issued to Dr. Siyal by the Chairman to attend the proceedings on Saturday September 06.

Dr. Siyal remained posted as Medical Superintendent of the Chandka Medical College Hospital with effect from 19.6.2009 to 21.2.2012 on a senior BPS-20 post on notorious ‘OPS’ basis.
