KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar said on Tuesday that emergency had been declared in all government hospitals to save people being affected by heat-stroke.

“All kind of medicines had been provided, while medical staff is available round the clock at the hospitals,” he said while talking to media persons during his visit at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center.

He expressed deep sorrow over the deaths due to heat-stroke. He said that severe heat was the cause of the deaths but unscheduled and long hours load-shedding was another cause of these deaths. This situation had made the life of the people miserable in holy month of Ramazan, he added.

Dahar said Sindh government was fully aware of its responsibility and all medical facilities had been supplied to the hospitals in order to save people from heat-stroke.

He advised the people to avoid unnecessary movement in scorching heat, stay homes and take pre-cautionary measures to save themselves from burning heat.
