IGP orders tight security for Abdullah Shah Ghazi urs

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ghulam Haider Jamali on Monday directed exceptional security measures for the urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi.

The IGP directed Deputy Inspectors General of West, East and South to assure surveillance and snap checking at police posts and entry and exit points of the city. He directed the relevant officers for proper advance intelligence collection, patrolling and targeted operations to ensure law and order.

The IGP also directed security measures for Masajid, Imam Bargahs, shrines, embassies, hospitals and airport. He directed to make police helpline 15 efficient.

The urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi would be held from 16th to 18th October.
