IGP, other dignitaries attend two cops’ funeral prayerNovember 10, 2014
KARACHI: Funeral prayer of Head Constable Shams-ur-Rehman and Constable Mohammad Mubeen, who were martyred within the jurisdiction of Preedy police station in district South, was offered in Police Headquarters Garden, here on Tuesday.
It was attended by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali, Zonal DIGs, senior police officers, relatives, friends and other people. Special contingent of police presented the guard of honour to the martyred cops.
On this occasion, IGP Sindh paid tribute to martyrs for their departmental services. He expressed condolences with the heirs of martyrs. He also announced provision of all due incentives to legal heirs of martyred policemen. IGP instructed police officers to complete all matters immediately in this regard.
Jamali said police force moral is high, hence, target operation would continue against criminal elements. The police would not refrain from rendering sacrifices of their lives for peace and protection of people. IGP also announced Rs 2 million each for the heirs of two martyred cops and two jobs each in police department.
