IGP reviews police performance

KARACHI: Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo chaired a meeting for reviewing the performance of operation and investigation by police.

He said that recommendations were being forwarded to IGP Sindh for provision of small weapons like pistols, revolvers for constables, sub inspectors, and non gazetted police officers deployed in sensitive areas for protection of life and property of citizens.

The meeting was told that from 5th September 2013 to date 164 police officers embraced martyred. They included 91 constables, 27 head constables, 17 assistant sub inspectors, 21 sub inspectors, 7 inspectors, and 1 SSP.
