IGP seeks report on temple ransacking

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Iqbal Mehmood on Sunday directed DIG Hyderabad to furnish a report on ransacking of a temple of Hindus by miscreants in Tando Muhammad Khan and ensure extraordinary security arrangements for holy places and residential areas of minorities.

IG instructed DIGs to make security measures for people and control law and order situation besides ensuring police patrolling and snap checking across Sindh province.

He said that extraordinary security measures should be made at district level for mosques, imambargahs, madaris, mausoleums, sensitive places, government buildings, education centers, missionary schools, minorities holy places, residential areas and other public places.
