Imran can not bring change in Sindh: minister

NAUNDERO: Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has conceded that children in Thar were dying due to poverty and it was the government responsibility to do something for them on permanent basis.

He was talking to media persons in Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto after offering Fateha and prayers at the graves of Bhutto leaders on Tuesday. He arrived here in a special helicopter for the first time after winning the Sehwan by-election.

He revealed that even elders were dying of hunger in Tharparker. He said PPP government was doing its best to eradicate poverty from the province and help the Thari people. Shah said that they had distributed wheat three times during their present regime which had never been done before.

He claimed that all required facilities had been made available in Mithi Hospital and added that health department should take more concrete steps for improvement of Thari people. He said that federal government was committing injustices with Sindh in distribution of funds from federal national pool and added that 120 billion rupees were cut due to which equal distribution of funds was not made and added that due to this reason they were facing difficulties in carrying out development schemes, health related matters and other things.

Shah said that many times opponents of PPP had formed alliances and now Arbab Ghulam Rahim was forming the same but PPP had full faith in people’s power. Shah further said that there would be no change because of PTI’s Imran Khan’s recent public gathering held in Ali Abab because ‘PPP had vote bank in Sindh’. He offered Dua at the graves of PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Mir Murteza Bhutto, Shahnawaz Bhutto.
