Inauguration of passport office at Narowal

SIALKOT: The decades old dream of Narowal people of having their own passport office, on Saturday became true after the 25 year-long patience and wait.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ch. Ehsan Iqbal, inaugurated the regional passport office at Narowal during a prestigious ceremony held there. Local MPA Khawaja Waseem Butt, Sialkot DCO Syed Najaf Iqbal , President PML-N Narowal District Malik Tariq Awan and local notables were present on this occasion.

The people of Sialkot were of the view that establishment of passport office at Narowal would definitely prove to decrease the rush of people at Sialkot regional passport office, which had been carrying the overload of passports for the people of Narowal district, who had been getting their passports issued from Sialkot regional passport office for the last 25 consecutive years since the establishment of Narowal as district in 1990.

While, the people of Narowal district are much happy, saying that now they have their own passport office in Narowal, which had got them rid of travelling to Sialkot for getting their passports.
