Indian Forces firing

SIALKOT: The Indian Border Security Forces (BSF), resorted unprovoked intensified firing on border villages in Charwah and Harpal Sectors of Working Boundary here Thursday.

According to the senior officials of the Chenab Rangers, the Indian BSF targeted the civilian population and also fired several heavy mortar shells, damaging several houses. Several mortar shells fell into the fields and could not explode.

Indian BSF started shelling on border villages at 08:30 am which continued till 09:00 am for about 20 minutes creating panic and harassment among the local people.

The Chenab Rangers responded instantly in befitting manner, making the Indian guns silent.

No loss of life or any injury was reported; the senior CR officials confirmed.
