KARACHI: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 42500 cusecs and Outflows 65000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 11200 cusecs and Outflows 11200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 19000 cusecs and Outflows 45000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 15600 cusecs and Outflows 8000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 73700 cusecs and Outflows 65700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 88600 cusecs and Outflows 85000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 73100 cusecs and Outflows 60300 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 21400 cusecs and Outflows 6400 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 88100 cusecs and Outflows 66400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 66700 cusecs and Outflows 53500 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 27800 cusecs and Outflows 3200.
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1499.26 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.760 million acre feet (MAF). Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1226.10 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.180 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.10 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.170 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
