Jahanzaib propels Multan into National Disabled T-20 tourney semis

Karachi: Pakistan’s national disabled cricket team all-rounder Jahanzaib Tiwana played a superb unbeaten 117-run knock and helped Multan record a convincing 74-run victory against Quetta and secured a place in the semifinals of ICRC National Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship 2015 here at National Stadium on Thursday.

Man of the match Jahanzaib Tiwana made 117 runs off only 59 balls with the help of 12 boundaries and six sixes.

In another quarterfinal encounter played at RLCA Ground Gulberg, Hyderabad stunned defending champion Lahore recording a 15-run victory. Muhammad Zubair batted well for the winning team scoring unbeaten 51off 27 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes.

Meanwhile, Islamabad overpowered Peshawar by 25 runs to secure their place in the pre-finals.

In the last quarterfinal match played at RLCA Gulberg, host Karachi thrashed Rawalpindi by seven wickets and kept local interest alive in the tournament.
