KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rahman on Saturday expressed deep concerns on recovery of weapons on tip-off of a religious party’s worker from Ranchore Line and demand to investigate the K-Electric men if involved in the scam.

Hafiz Naeem said after recovery of weapons allegedly from a KE office, it seems that K-Electric elements may be involved in terrorism, target killing and murders in the city. He asked to probe who is supervising the terrorists in grab of other jobs.

He said the actual job of KE is to provide electricity to cater the needs of citizens of Karachi. It is KE’s duty to save Karachiites from torment of the load shedding and overbilling. K-Electric should respond on the grievances of consumers but sadly it is not doing this job.

He said that they have pointed many times that K-E has hired hardline activists of different political parties to terrorize citizens, and our claims are proving correct.

He said weapon recovery issue should be investigated and the names of those responsible should be made public.
