JI holds protest rally in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Jamaat-e-Islami workers and leaders staged a protest rally against the seizure of non-custom paid vehicles in Landikotal.

Scores of JI workers headed by their Landikotal amir Murad Hussain marched in Landikotal, holding banners and flags and chanted slogans against the seizures of NCP vehicles.

Addressing the rally Murad Hussain said that it was not fair to punish the tribal people. He said that none custom paid vehicles were the lone source of income of the poor people here, adding that most of the owners of the seized vehicles were being used as taxi cabs.

Hasan Shinwari and Abdur Rauf Shinwari also addressed the rally. They appealed from the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Chief of Army Staff to help in release the seized vehicles so that the poor tribesmen could earn livelihood for their families.
