JI leader demands arrest of Talha’s killers

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded immediate arrest of the killers of Adeel Talha, grandson of former JI Karachi Chief Hakeem Sadiq Hussain.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, JI Karachi chief expressed his deep concern and sorrow over the targeted killing of Adeel Talha, who was also a worker of Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT).

Lambasting on the performance of provincial government and LEAs, Naeem said that dozens of people were being targeted in the city on daily basis that raised a question mark on the working of LEAs.

He alleged that the government instead of arresting the killers, were patronizing them to carry out heinous activities.

He further demanded of the government to ensure safety to the life and property of the masses and take effective measures to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the city.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayers of the deceased Adeel Talha was offered at Masjid-e-Taqwa located along University Road. Former JI Pakistan chief Syed Munawar Hasan also attended the funeral prayers. The deceased was laid to rest at Askari, Phase IV Graveyard.

It is pertinent to mention here that Adeel Talha was killed by the terrorists on University Road while going along with his mother.
