JI terms poor sanitation condition criminal negligence

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi termed the deteriorated and unhygienic situation in some areas of city “a criminal negligence of provincial government and its concerned authorities.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, JI Karachi General Secretary Abdul Wahab expressing his deep concerned over the accumulated sewerage water and pile of garbage heaps in some areas of city.

He said that the provincial and city governments have completely failed to ensure proper cleanliness condition to the masses, adding that the stagnant water is being accumulated in some commercial and trade areas of city.

Abdul Wahab said that the people are passing through tremendous mental and physical agony due to unhygienic condition in their respective areas, adding that the authorities concerned have completely blind eyed over the poor sanitation condition in some areas of the city.

“The municipal departments have failed to redress the issues of the masses despite several complaints lodged in this regard”, he added.

He feared that the people may suffer in epidemic diseases due to pile of garbage heaps and accumulated sewerage water in their respective areas.

He demanded of the authorities concerned to take immediate action in order to ensure healthy atmosphere for the masses.
