JIMS to be counted amongst latest hospitals: Sagheer

Karachi: Provincial Health Minister Sindh Dr Sagheer Ahmed on Monday said Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences (JIMS) established with financial aid of USAID would be ranked amongst the well-equipped hospitals of Pakistan soon.

He expressed these views while chairing a meeting of Board of Governors of Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences. He said people of Sindh and Baluchistan province would benefit from this modern healthcare institution.

Dr Sagheer said institution would be run without any interference and its all staff would be recruited on merit. He applauded the USAID for its contribution in healthcare sector.

The board of directors of Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences has unanimously selected Brigadier (retd) Dr Muhammad Zubair Sheikh as Director.

The board members also briefed the health minister about the procedure of interviews in detail and informed that OPD services would begin soon in the institution.
