Joharabad police nab seven criminalsMarch 15, 2016
KARACHI: Joharabad police on Wednesday claimed to have apprehended seven alleged criminals in different raids in Joharabad area here and recovered weapons and a looted vehicle from their possessions.
According to SHO Joharabad, two extortionists, identified as Mohammad Uzair and Mohammad Shakeel, were arrested by police. The arrested accused were involved in different extortion cases.
Joharabad police also detained two street criminals Mohammad Yasir and Kamran alias Chhota, and recovered two pistols and numerous cartridges from them.
Moreover, police during patrolling arrested an alleged car lifter Mohammad Ahmad and seized a vehicle from his possession. The police also apprehended suspect Maher Ali involved in different crime cases. A suspect Mohammad Sohail was captured under the Copy Right Act. He was accused of supplying fake books in the name of Oxford University Press.
