Peshawar: Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam while demanding resignation of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ahmad Khan has announced to hold countrywide protest against the delay in investigation of suicide attack on JUI Chief Maulana Fazal Rahman.

Addressing to news conference at JUI office on Monday Vice chief of JUI Khyber Pukhunkhwa and Mulana Fazal’s brother, Maulana Ata-ur-Rahman said government should investigate and identify as to who was behind the attacks on JUI chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rahman.

“We consider that the interior ministry has been showing apathy in investigation of the case therefore due to this indifferent attitude of interior minister we have been compelled to launch protest on the roads and want to know as to why the matter has not been properly investigated as well as why culprits are not identified,” Maulana Attaur Rahman said.

While condemning the protest sit in of PTI, JUI leader said that they were astonished that not a single cracker has been fired in protest which is promoting “vulgarity and western culture” among the youth at D-Chawk but JUI is being targeted for the crime which is its struggle for Islamic rule and democracy in Pakistan.

He condemned PTI for adopting protest and sit in of politics and said that through a planned conspiracy the serious and notable leadership of this country has been targeted to pave the way for ‘non-serious’ elements in politics.

JUI, he said could not be deterred with such attacks and it would continue its mission for Islam, protection of Islamic ideology and Islamic culture which he said has been under attack from certain quarters.
