KARACHI: General Secretary Karachi Human Rights Society (KHRS) Aamir Saeed charged that some officers had violated section 8 of Sindh Judicial Staff Rules 1994 by appointing their relatives in government jobs while ignoring the local people.

Saeed in a statement said according to section 8 of rules 1994, court staff should be appointed from the same district where the court was situated, while some officers had allegedly ignored the rules by not appointing the locals on these posts. “NTS Test, which is compulsory for court appointments, was also neglected,” he said.

KHRS demanded that all the unlawful appointments be cancelled and the residents of Karachi should be given priority for appointment in local jobs.
