Khuhro vows to act against rise in private school feesSeptember 15, 2015
KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister for Education and Information Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said on Wednesday that taking notice of the enhancement in school fees, his department had issued notices to different private schools. However, private schools management had been called for a meeting on Thursday to discuss the matter of hike in fees and review the registration of private schools according to law.
He said this while talking to media at cultural program at JS Academy. The minister has taken serious notice of the fees hike and said that they would not tolerate charging of additional fees.
He said that they would not accept private schools’ reason about tax increase on the school. He said private schools will not be left scot-free and an strategy will be evolved to ensure better monitoring of schools.
Khuhro said that they would not tolerate charging of four-month advance monthly fees by the schools.
Replying to a question, he said no any political or banned organization will be allowed to collect leather or skin, despite being welfare organizations, for that they will have to take permission from the government.
He said a committee consisting of commissioner, administrator and staff had been formed to make rules and regulations for collecting skins. He said rangers had no any other responsibility, except taking actions to eliminate terrorism, extortion, and ransom, and for that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar had given explanation. He said some people, including Imran Khan, are neither happy at democracy, nor like PPP and PML-N.
