Peshawar: Khyber Pukhtunkhwa government has decided to established a Youth Challenge Fund to release interest free loans to jobless youth having completed six month skill certificate from any recognized insitutio.
The decison of establishing Youth Challenge Fund has been taken in provincial cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in the chair.
Briefing media on Friday about the important decisons taken by cabinet provincial minister for information Shah Farman said cabinet has decided to start this fund with amount of Rs 120 millions which would aimed to provide interest free loans to jobless young people aging between 18 to 30 years.
He said that young people would be given interest free loans up to Rs two million which would be paid back in three equal instalments in three years. Young persons having no private jobs would be elegible for the loan that would be released on first come first serve basis, he said.
Cabinet, Shah Farman said also approved the bill 2014 to regularize the Lady Health Workers which will benefit Lady health supervisor Basic Pay Scale (BPS) 7, Account supervisor BPS-7 , Lady Health Workers BPS-5 and drivers BPS-4.
Similarly, Shah Farman said that cabinet aslo approved the bill to increase the salaries and perks and privileges of Speaker, Deputy speaker of provincial assembly, Chief Minister, ministers, advisors, special aids, parliamentary secretaries and members of the provincial assemblies.
The minister said that the salaries and privileges of ministers, chief minister, advisors, members of assembly and speaker as well as deputy speakers are still lower as compared to the slaries and other benifits in the backward province of Baluchistan.
The cabinets, the minister informed that also approved amendment bill of Rescue 1122 to remove some flaws in the law. In the amendment bill some changes have been made in the appointment of Director General of Rescue 1122.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prevention conflict of interest bill-2014 is also been approved in today’s cabinet meeting minister said adding that with the passage of the bill from provincial assembly no officer would take any decision that would directly or indirectly benefit his personal business or personal interest.
