Peshawar: Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) has strongly protested over Pakistan International Airline’s decision to run only one flight from Peshawar to Karachi in a week.

In Statement issued here on Monday KPCCI President Fawad Ishaq said that traders and business community of the province have strong reservation of cancellation of all PIA flights from Peshawar to Karachi and closing routes to Malaysia and Kuwait besides minimizing flights to Dubai.

He said PIA is earning from flights between Peshawar and Karachi but this is beyond understanding as to why PIA has close down other flights from Peshawar decided to run only on flight in week.

He said that with this decision of PIA the business community of KP would further alienated and their miseries would multiplied as they would remain cut off from other parts of the world as they have to travel for business to Dubai and Malaysia.

He said flights from Peshawar to Quetta were already closed down by PIA therefore PIA should re-think its decision about flights from Peshawar to Karachi
