Lawyers boycotts courts over Shab Qadar blast

KARACHI: On the appeal of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) the legal fraternity of Karachi boycotted on Tuesday court proceeding and staged a protest demo against Shab Qadar bomb blast in which at least 16 people died and 20 others injured.

Responding on the call of PBC, the lawyers stayed away from the court, causing suspension of court proceeding. However, the hearings of the main cases were conducted in the judges’ chambers.

A large blast was occurred near the building of District & Session Court of Shab Qadar Tehsil of Charsadda on Monday.

At least 16 people were killed and 20 others sustained injuries in the blast.
