LG elections: Polling continues amidst clashes, tension, blame gaming

Karachi: Polling of local government election in 20 districts of Sindh and Punjab has been continuing amidst tension, blame gaming and clashes.

In Jacobabad, three persons were injured in clash between two rival groups at a polling station. However, at another polling station assistant presiding officers and two other officials were arrested for poll rigging.

In Khairpur district, independent candidate from ward number 2 of town committee Kumb, Tanveer Wasan, boycotted the election, accusing his rival candidate of poll rigging.

However, four persons were injured when PPP and PML-F workers clashed during polling of UC Manghwari.

However, Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh complained of poll rigging in different polling stations of Sukkur and Kambar-Shahdadkot.
