Liquid foreign reserves stand at US$13414.8m

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday said that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$13,414.8 million on 05 September 2014.

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: foreign reserves held by the SBP reached US$ 8,693.4 million; net foreign reserves held by banks were US$4,721.4 million and total liquid foreign reserves stood at US$13,414.8 million

During the week ending 05 September 2014, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$26 million to US$8,693 million compared to US$8,719 million in the previous week.

During the week SBP made payments of US$61 million on account of external debt. No major official inflow was received by SBP during the week.
