KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that the politics of long marches and sit-ins were not in favour of the country. The democratic forces will not let the democracy to be derailed in the country, he said while talking to different delegations who called on him in his office. He said that Pakistan People’s Party had given sacrifices for democratic norms and promotion of democracy and in future too, we would not shun any sacrifice for the purpose. He added Nawaz Sharif should take decisions like sensible politician and dismiss his incompetent advisors because they were misguiding him.

The minister said that long marches and sit-ins would increase problems of the masses and give no benefit to the democracy. Dahar advised federal government to take lesson of politics from leadership of PPP and put the country on right track.

He said that PPP was in favour of democracy, however, we did not support policies of present government. “PPP is in favour to continue democratic process in the country because undemocratic forces stop the development,” he said.
