Malik Qasim calls on Afghan Consul General

Peshawar: Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Prisons, Malik Qasim Khan Khattak has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan are culturally tied with each other that is why its people are brotherly engaged with either sides.

He was talking to Afghan Consul General in Peshawar Dr. Abdullah Waheed Poyan, who called on him at Peshawar on Tuesday.

The Consul General remained with him for some time and exchanged views on bilateral relations particularly the Hospitality and Services given to the Afghan refugees during their stay in Pakistan.

Malik Qasim, on this occasion, said that the People of Pakistan and Afghanistan were inter-linked with each other having brotherhood ties and the services given to the Afghans were moral and religious duty of the People of Pakistan. They exchanged views about the Provincial Prisons particularly D.I Khan and Haripur.

Malik Qasim informed the Dignitary about the services and facilities being given in various prisons and assured that these facilities would be multiplied to lookafter the Afghan prisoners in future.

Afghan Consul General thanked the provincial Government for its good will gesture to the people of Afghanistan and invited Malik Qasim to visit Afghanistan.
