Man killed, three injured in road mishaps

KARACHI: A person was killed and three others were injured in different road mishaps in the metropolis on Sunday.

According to rescue sources, an unidentified speeding dumper-truck overturned at Hub River road near Naval Colony in Mawach Goth in Baldia town. As as result, a man, Faiz, 50, son of Abdul Kareem, was killed. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy.

Separately, Shakil, 25, son of Hakeem, a resident of Sherin Jinnah Colony, was injured when an unidentified speeding vehicle hit him near Khayaban-e-Ittehad in Defence area. He was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment.

A youth, identified as Danish Ali, 25, son of Orangzaib, was seriously injured when an unidentified speeding vehicle hit him near Liaquatabad No. 10. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed hospital (ASH) for treatment.

Javed, 28, son of Raheem, was seriously injured when his motorcycle slipped near Murghi Khana stop in Landhi. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.
