KARACHI: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali in a meeting with Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad at Governor House informed him about efforts being made to fulfill needs of energy.

Ali said that judicial distribution of electricity was being ensured across the country, while action was being taken against electricity theft without any discrimination and pressure. Many projects to increase electricity generation were in the process of completion which would help decrease power shortfall.

“The federal government is determined not only to root out load-shedding from the country in three years but ensure extra production of electricity as well,” he said.

The governor appreciated efforts of the minister and expressed hope that eradication of load shedding would promote industries as well as increase foreign exchange and employment in the city.

Ebad said the federal government measures to tackle energy crisis were appreciable.
