Medicon International Conference will start todayMarch 25, 2015
SIALKOT: The 2nd annual Medicon International Health Conference will begin at Khawaja Safdar Medical College Sialkot (KMSMC) today, which will continue till March 29, 2015 here. The stage is set to hold this international level mega event.
Principal Khawaja Safdar Medical College Sialkot Prof. Dr. Zafar Ali Chaudhary told that KMSMC will hold this three-day long Medicon conference with a sole aim to provide the unique opportunities to the doctors and medical students to share their experiences and views and to learn from each other.
He said that different training workshops of the doctors and medical students would be held during this international conference in which as many as 60 senior doctors from across Pakistan and other countries will deliver their lectures about the latest technologies of medical treatment especially on Audiology Orientation, Neonatal Resuscitation, Infection Control, Developmental Paediatrics, Knee Replacement Surgery , Endoscopy , Gynae , Eye, ENT, Liver Biopsy, Ophthalmology, Glaucoma, Perinetal Diagnosis and Research Methodology.
Principal disclosed that this medical college would generate as many as 200 house jobs till 2016, besides, providing wide-ranged, better and advanced medical health cover to the people of Sialkot.
He said that Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot would soon be made a 550 beds hospital , as the Punjab government had already released a special development funds of Rs. 4 billion for this purpose.
Principal disclosed that the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) had already granted Postgraduate Medical Training at Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot under the Khawaja Safdar Medical College Sialkot, where the medical students of this medical college were getting the postgraduate medical training in five segments including medicine, surgery, Gynae, pediatric and eyes as well. He said now 15 senior doctors have started training in this regard.
