Meezan Bank gets CFA award

Karachi: Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic bank, was awarded ‘Islamic Bank of the Year’ award by the CFA Society Pakistan at its 11th Annual Excellence Awards.

Muneer Kamal, Chairman, Karachi Stock Exchange Ltd was the Chief Guest at the award ceremony. Ijaz Farooq, Group Head Branch Banking, SME /Commercial & Agriculture Finance – Meezan received the award for Meezan Bank.

This was the fifth consecutive year that Meezan Bank was awarded ‘Best Islamic Bank of the Year’ by CFA Society Pakistan which reflects the bank’s successful track record and its leadership position in the industry.

CFA Pakistan Annual Excellence Awards have earned tremendous following since its launch and are given to the best performing Banks to recognize excellence in the commercial banking industry.

The CFA Society Pakistan is a non-profit professional organization of local investment professionals, and a member society of CFA Institute, USA, which is a global organization of analysts, portfolio managers and finance professionals.
