Minister: (Govt making efforts to increase foreign exchange reserves to $21b: Dar)

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the government is making efforts to further increase foreign exchange reserves of the country to $ 21 billion within few months.

He was addressing a function in connection with signing of MoU between Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal and Universal Service Fund here on Friday. He said government is working on 25000 megawatt electricity projects of which eleven thousand megawatt would be added to the national grid in their tenure of government.

He said the government has increased budget for the Bait-ul-Mal by hundred percent for the welfare of the poor people. He said the government is trying to improve lives of those who live below the poverty line. He said one million jobs would be created next year in Information and Communication Technologies sector.

Minister for state Information Technology Anusha Rehman said that this project is a step to empower women. She said under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif we are heading toward socio-economic progress.
