Minister hands over compensation cheques to blast victims

Bahawalpur: On the behalf of Chief Minister Punjab Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, Provincial Minister for Cooperatives Malik Mohammad Iqbal Channar handed over a cheque of Rs 500,000 to heirs of deceased Rao Mohd Imran, the victim of Chanigoth bomb blast.

He also presented cheques to nine injured persons of the bomb blast incident. MNA Ali Hassan Gillani, MPA Mian Shoaib Owaisi, DCO Bahawalpur Imran Sikandar Baloch, DPO Sarfraz Ahmed Falki, ASP Mahroz Ali Ghauri and PML(N) leaders Hassan Askari Sheikh and Khalid Gujjar were also present on this occasion.

Punjab minister condoled with the mother, widow and children of Rao Imran and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

Malik Iqbal Channar said that government would root out the menace of terrorism from the country and all efforts were being made by both political and military leadership.

Condemning the Chanigoth incident, he informed that that government had started investigation and culprits would be taken to task.

It is pertinent to mention here that Punjab government had provided cheques of Rs 75,0000 each to five seriously wounded persons Shahbaz, Mohammad Ali, Zafar, Akhter and Riaz Ahmed, while each four minor injured of bomb blast incident Mohd Waqas, Farooq, Shan, Ghulam Mohammad and Abdul Jabbar received Rs 25,000 cheques today at Chanigoth.
