Minister: (India should not claim as world’s big democracy without giving right of plebiscite to Kashmiri people)January 4, 2015
ISLAMABAD: Strongly condemning the Indian aggression along the Line of Control and Working Boundary, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudhry Barjees Tahir on Monday said that India should not claim as a big democracy of the world without giving the right of plebiscite to the Kashmiri people.
He strongly condemned the Indian Border Security Force’s indiscriminate firing across the Working Boundary at Shakargarh Sector on Monday.
Addressing a conference here on Monday, the minister said that India should abandon the path of violence and show sincerity. He said Pakistan’s desire for peace should not misconstrued as its weakness.
He said Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in achieving their inalienable right of self-determination.
He said Indian leadership had accepted the right of plebiscite of the Kashmiri people at the United Nations but it did not implement it so far. He said permanent peace in the South Asia cannot be established without resolution of the dispute.
