Minister: (No load-shedding at Sehri, Iftar, Taraveeh, minister assures)June 20, 2015
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Mohammad Asif has assured that there will be no load-shedding during Sehri, iftar and Taraveen timings.
In a statement here on Sunday, he said 93% urban and 86% rural areas are being provided uninterrupted electricity. He said situation is returning to normal and load-shedding is being controlled gradually.
Talking about shortage of electricity in Karachi he said that K-Electric is responsible for it, while Ministry of Water and Power is supplying 650MW electricity to Karachi.
He said the electricity situation is being monitored continuously except for system constraints. The federal complaint cell is also operating round the clock for ratification of technical faults, he added.
