ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has rejected the rumours of abolishing subsidy on wheat for Gilgit-Baltistan.
In a statement on Sunday, he said these rumours are totally baseless and being spread by vested interests to gain sympathies of the local people and get their votes during Gilgit-baltistan Legislative Assembly elections being held today (Monday).
He said that Rs 6.5 billion have been fixed as subsidy on wheat for Gilgit Baltistan in the budget. He said Pakistan Muslim League-N government is people friendly and cannot take any anti people action.
