Minister threatens jailing KE bosses

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for information and Local Government Sharjeel Innam Memon here Monday warned the K-electric management men to improve standard of their service and ensure to provide power; otherwise, they would be sent behind the bars.

Talking to media after inaugurating a road project, he said Karachiites faced the power breakdown and the KE management is responsible for their miseries.

He said KE management has proved that not only they are incompetent but the frequent power breakdowns show malafide intentions of the company. He said the KE is violating the court orders regarding providing smooth electricity to consumers, adding frequent power breakdowns have also resulted acute water shortage in the city.

He categorically said that the people and government would not tolerate the power crisis anymore and stern action would be taken against K Electric.
