Moot on women empowerment

KARACHI: Advance Educational Institute & Research Centre (AEIRC) is going to launch the 2nd International Conference on women empowerment with the theme “Aurat Izzat Nahi Insan Hai” from 17 to 20 December 2015 in collaboration with Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Sindh with support of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Tehrik-e-Niswan, Arts Council of Pakistan and National Forum for Women Health.

Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club, AEIRC’s Chairman Dr. Shershah Syed told that in the conference emerging researchers from countries like India, Afghanistan, UAE, Canada, Belgium, Australia, the United Kingdom and Pakistan will present more than 50 research papers and discuss and analyze the women’s issues.

He said a journal entitled “International Journal on Women Empowerment with full strength on Pakistani’ women related issues will be introduced among the participants. He said the journal, ISSN certified, reviewed by seven international editors is aimed at providing holistic understanding of society with objectives to encourage and publish research, analysis, and informed discussion on all aspects of women in Pakistan.

He said the four-day conference to include workshops, lectures on social awareness, competitions and stage plays on women rights. The conference will be held at PMA, Atia Auditorium Malir and at Arts Council of Karachi on consecutive days.

AEIRC’s Vice Present Zafar Iqbal Abbasi, Sheema Kirmani of Tehrik-e-Niswan were present on the occasion.
