KARACHI: The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement has strongly condemned the illegal exhibition of automatic weapons in the rallies of ruling parties, PML-N and PTI, during the by-elections in Gujranwala.

In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that both the parties kept making noise over the presence of illegal weapons in Karachi but seemed to become deaf and dumb on that incident. He said the exhibition of automatic weapons reflected that most of the political and religious parties had militant wings.

The Committee said that the Rangers was conducting an operation to recover illegal weapons in Karachi and simultaneously seemed to be remained passive over such illegal activities of showing weapons in political rallies. It said that it was impossible to have peace while practicing dual standard of law.
