MQM to launch cleanliness drive in Karachi from March 10

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday announced to launch a cleanliness drive to rid the city of liter, garbage and other “evils”.

MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar during a press conference at MQM headquarters Nine-zero said that party would use all-out resources to remove heaps of garbage from the city. He said his party is launching cleanliness campaign from March 10, adding that party workers, councillors, chairmen and parliamentarians would participate in “I own Karachi” campaign.

Dr Farooq Sattar said they would focus on covering manholes and planting samplings in the city. He said such a campaign would also be launched in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas.
