MRC criticizes Karachi operation

KARACHI: Muhajir Rabita Council (MRC) on Monday demanded criticized the ongoing operation in Karachi by rangers.

MRC Chairman Arshad Siddiqui addressing a press conference in Karachi Press Club (KPC) strongly condemned the raid of rangers on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) party’s head office, Nine Zero, in Karachi on 11th March, 2015.

He blamed that it has become daily routine that rangers raid in different parts of Karachi and arrest people belonging to one ethnic background.

He asserted that the MQM has no any link to Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), adding but some elements are trying to prove this nonexistent link.

He appealed to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Justice of Supreme Court and COAS General Raheel Sharif to take notice of the situation in Karachi. He warned if this maltreatment was be stopped then Balochistan like situation could be faced here.

MRC Secretary Information Dr Zakir Hussain and Senior Vice President Tasaduq Husain were also present.
