NAUNDERO: Veteran political leader of Sindh Mumtaz Bhutto has alleged that PPP had planned to rig local bodies elections; hence, the people will have to exercise their right to vote consciously.

“Vote is the name of change which should be used perfectly as it has great importance for people’s lives,” said Bhutto while addressing a corner meeting here late Wednesday. Bhutto said that PPP had been wiped out of three provinces and now its turn is in Sindh, where it will meet the same fate here during LB polls.

Mumtaz said that after Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto was organizing and uniting the party, he told her not to include people who remained opposing ZAB. Mumtaz said that due to massive corruption Zardari and his associates had left the country and were controlling party from Dubai.

He said that after the assassination of BB in 2007, people voted in their favour but they did nothing for the betterment of the people. He claimed: “Education has been ruined and donkeys are standing in schools, poor patients are suffering in hospitals while jobs have been sold against heavy payments.”

Now they have promoted their favourite officers on the condition that they will win PPP LB elections, he pointed out. He alleged that over a planned conspiracy these elections will be massively rigged as they planned at the very outset to rig their favourite constituencies. Bhutto urged the voters to keep their eyes open while voting.
