KARACHI: Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has demanded of the government to ensure immediate arrest of killers of Shia martyr Irfan Haider forthwith.

“Targeted murder of Irfan Haider, brother of our party colleague Mazhar Haider, was a proof of failure of law enforcement agencies,” said Allama Ali Anwar Jafari, an official of the MWM Karachi chapter while speaking at funeral of Irfan Haider in Incholi.

He warned the government to get Shia genocide ended, otherwise MWM would ask the supporters of the MWM for an organised protest campaign against the PPP’s provincial government because of its anti-oppressed policies.

Allama Jafari said Sunni and Shia Muslims had been unsafe due to pro-Takfiri policies of the PMLN government and lack of action by the PPP’s Sindh government.

Thousands of mourners attended the funeral of martyr Irfan Haider. He was laid to rest in Wadi-e-Hussain (AS) graveyard after his namaz-e-janaza was held at compound of Imam Bargah Shohda-e-Karbala.
