NA: (NA continues discussion on Budget 2015-16)

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Tuesday continued general discussion on the Budget for the financial year 2015-16. Taking part in the debate MNA Mohammad Akram Ansari said it is the best budget in the prevailing circumstances.

He said the PML-N government is taking forward the country on the path of progress and development according to the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He said the proposed China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a big achievement of the government which will bring 46 billion dollars investment from China. He appreciated the Punjab Government carrying out a number of development projects in Faisalabad. He stressed the need for an incentive package for promotion of cottage industry in the Punjab.

Amir Ali Shah Jamote criticized the budget saying there is a need for focusing attention on agriculture research. Waheed Alam Khan congratulated the government for presenting a balanced budget within the available resources.

He appreciated the government for starting health insurance schemes. He said the government achieved four point two four growth rate which is higher in the last seven years.

He lauded the Metro Bus project and said the people are taking full benefit of it. He suggested that steps should be taken to promote National Savings and holding of population census.
