Islamabad,: Following Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri’s sit-in protest outside parliament, the National Assembly session has been delayed on Wednesday.

The National Assembly session was due to be held at 10am, however most of the National Assembly could not reach the Parliament House. Carrying cameras inside the Parliament House has been banned.

Tens of thousands of protesters led by ex-cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan and a populist cleric Tahirul Qadri have staged sit-in outside the Parliament House on Wednesday in a bid to depose the prime minister.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chairman Tahir-ul-Qadri claim last year’s general election was rigged and have demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s resignation.
