Peshawar: NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has arrested Sher Hayat Khan private person from District Dir Lower allegedly involved in aided, assisted, abetted, attempted and acted in conspiracy with the accused Waqif Khan and others by fabricating, creating and preparing forged, bogus and back dated evidence to justify ill-gotten assets of the accused.
During the course of inquiry it revealed that accused Sher Hayat Khan provided false and fabricated information to the Investigation Officer and in league with accused Waqif Khan, the accused Sher Hayat Khan through corruption and corrupt practices and with malice fabricated a number of back dated stamp papers / Iqrar names to show payment of Rs. 8.0 Million to accused Waqif Khan as “Amanat” in the year 2010 to justify his ill-gotten assets. Further he created / fabricated Iqrar Nama to show receipt of Rs. 5.5 Million back from accused Waqif Khan in the year 2011. He also signed fake Iqrar Nama regarding payment of Rs. 7.4 Million by accused Shah Nawaz Khan to accused Waqif Khan as witness.
As per details, the accused Waqif Khan who is already in NAB (KP) custody, during his service from 1971 to 2011 has accumulated huge assets which actually not match to his known and legal sources of income. He owned 4 Stories Plaza in Sethi Town Peshawar, Houses in Hayatabad, Islamabad Town and Sarbuland Pura Peshawar. He also invested over 30.00 Million in National Saving Schemes.
The accused person will be produced tomorrow before the Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining his physical remand.
