NAB Balochistan files reference against NADRA Officials

QUETTA: National Accountability Bureau Balochistan filed a reference against two officials of NADRA for issuing Pakistan Identity cards to non Pakistanis. Most of these cards were issued to residents in Quetta through fake documents and fake verification signatures in Accountability Court here Monday.

NAB Balochistan sources said here today that it was investigating issuance of fake identity cards. During investigation it came to know that Assistant Director Syed Ali Mohammad Agha and Assistant Director Rizwan Aftab issued identity cards to non Pakistanis. Assistant Director Syed Ali Mohammad Agha and Assistant Director Rizwan Aftab and Owais Pervez former cameraman issued identity cards in connivance of Registration Centre Khanozai and Staff of Mobile Van No 5 were arrested on June 10, 2014 and September 4, 2014 respectively. They were found guilty of issuing identity cards on the basis of fake verification and documents.

Accused Owais Pervez confe4ssing his guilt during investigation applied for plea bargain under NAO 25 (b) 1999. It was accepted and Accountability court endorsing it announced punishment under section 15 NAO 1999.

A reference was field against Assistant Director Syed Ali Mohammad Agha and Assistant Director Rizwan Aftab in the accountability court today.
