NAB Balochistan recovers Rs 4622.15 million, Chairman toldJune 10, 2015
QUETTA: Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB visited NAB Baluchistan to review the performance of different wings of NAB Balochistan.
The Director General NAB Balochistan, Major Retired Tariq Mehmood Malik, briefed the Chairman NAB about the performance of all wings of NAB Balochistan.
He informed that NAB Balochistan has recovered Rs 4622.15 million through Voluntary Return (VR), Plea Bargain (PB), indirect recoveries and court fine since its inception.
“NAB Balochistan received 8676 complaints, authorized 620 inquiries and completed 322 investigations arresting 348 accused in the same period of time,” DG said.
He further informed that NAB Balochistan has received 318 complaints from January 2015 todate. Besides 60 Complaint Verifications, 48 inquiries, 7 investigations have been authorized in 2015.
Moreover, 180 complaint verifications, 60 inquiries and 07 investigations have been completed in the current year whereas 5 references were filed in the court.
He further informed that Rs. 401.314 million were recovered through Voluntary Return (VR) and Plea Bargain (PB) from January 2015 todate
He informed that NAB Balochistan after completing seven investigations into the cases of corruption, embezzlement, fraud, misuse of authority, cheating public at large and causing loss to the national exchequer has filed five references in the Accountability Court in 2015.
Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB said that NAB Balochistan is one of the important Regional Bureaus of NAB. It plays prominent role in contributing towards the overall performance of NAB.
He appreciated the performance of NAB Balochistan Bureau and directed all ranks of officers of NAB Balochistan to work more vigilantly and diligently in order to curb corruption and corrupt practices from the country.
He said that performance of all wings of NAB Balochistan under the supervision of DG NAB Balochistan is appreciated. There is room for improvements, however good work is always appreciated and shows commitment of the Bureau
